UPDATES:
We've been there and worn the t-shirt, and a very nice eamgf t-shirt it is indeed! This seasons must have items are the EAMGF windscreen stickers - get them at our meets and wear them with pride!
For our April meet we returned to the Ship Inn near Brandon Creek between Kings Lynn and Ely. After a satisfying meal we hit the road for a tour down the twisty Fen roads to Sandringham estate.
This included a drive through the beautiful forest paths of the 600 acre woodland country park - the convoy providing an interesting site to people there for a country walk and a picnic. We parked up and spent a few hours enjoying the superb weather in 'HM the Queens' favourite Norfolk retreat.
In May we went to the National F Register Day run held by the Essex roadsters, so our own monthly meet was a low key event at the Lazy Otter near Cambridge. It gave us a good chance to catch up and have a natter.
For our July meet we went to the Fox Inn near Huntingdon - you may have seen it when you are travelling on the A14 motorway. A group of us met up at Guyhirn for a convoy down country lanes to the pub - going just fast enough to miss the rain storms that threatened us to put the hoods up. At the pub we made sure that we could put on a good display, as we were in good company of Jaguars, Porsches, TVR's…..it was the Fox Car show.
Even a Ferrari made an appearance:
Sean unveiled the new EAMGF banner and we must have looked the most professional car club there (maybe we are biased in that opinion though!). Thanks to everyone who came along to help support us.
UPCOMING
EVENTS:
The third 2007 National Event hosted by the MGF Register (us) takes place on Sunday 02/09/07.
It is called 'Heart of England' and is being organised by the 'F Power' (Midlands) region of the MGF Register. With a proven history of good rallies behind them this promises to be a great event! It is not too far from us so hopefully a few of us should make it to this event. We would also like to add that this is our annual charity event - with 2/3 of proceeds going to our charity of the year.
More information and entry forms can be found by clicking here.
Know of a good pub in Norfolk, Suffolk or Cambs?
This year we want to get out and about across the region - especially when the top down weather returns - so we can do some nice country runs!
If you know of any good pubs / restaurants / venues, or have heard of a good one and want to check it out, let us know. As reps we will do the organising - so no need to worry about the difficult stuff. We are setting up a list of pubs to visit on our forum. If you can help please let us know by adding details on there bly clicking here.
